Making my appointment was super easy online. I went in to explore which type of birth control would be best for me to try. Everyone was very kind, professional and my implant insertion went very well. The Planned Parenthood App is also the most helpful online resource I’ve found regarding birth control. And my doctor was great at helping me sort through my options.
Came to have my IUD replaced and get STD/STI testing and it was a very easy process. Everyone was very helpful and polite, it was a little busy and some of the staff seemed a little stressed so I think that might be a reason for some of the lower reviews however no one was rude or disrespectful in any way. I was very anxious and had a lot of questions because getting my first IUD was really painful and scary but they answered all my questions and were honest and informative. I was walked through the process and told what was happening, when there was anything uncomfortable she would count to 3 so I would be prepared. At one point I needed to take a moment and she immediately stopped and waited until I was ready, I wasn’t rushed at all.
God I hate the female Caucasian doctor with blond hair so bad, I heard so much people talk trash about her and after going I understand why. I genuinely wish the worst for her because My experience and day was the worst because of her. Why do you still have her hired? Anyone can be knowledgeable and taught so why have someone who is completely rude and un-professional. People come here for help and pay for it and she teaches it like you’re her student and you’re completely incompetent at even walking and that everyone’s body is the same
Cheapest way to get birth control if you have DMBA, even now that they “cover” it. I’ve had a very smooth and positive experience every time I’ve gone to refill or switch devices. They got the implant both in and out very quickly and I didn’t feel a thing.
UPDATE: I received a call from the branch manager after sending an email to their customer service. She confirmed that the information I was given by the girls was indeed FALSE, and that I was treated very poorly and said she would retrain them on the correct insurance policy. If you go here, make sure you get a supervisor to help you if the little girls at the front desk are unable to provide correct information.Front desk is extremely rude. Drove 2 and a half hours from Price. Went in, front desk staff was basically all teenaged catty girls. They gave me some insane conflicting information about health insurance that I have never heard in any state I’ve ever lived in. They would not call someone else to confirm the information they were giving me, one girl with dark brown hair and glasses just said “Um, well I’ve worked here for 5 years and that’s just the policy”… I had to walk out on the appointment I’ve been waiting for for 2 weeks, and drove 2 and a half hours for. Absolutely sickening way to run a healthcare establishment.
The staff was VERY helpful, nonjudgmental, kind, and walk you through every step of the way. I loved that they wanted to provide me with as much information as possible and I would absolutely recommend this place. I love planned parenthood!
Im a big supporter and patient of planned parenthood. I have yet to find an OBGYN I trust here in the valley and when I first came to them the obgyn I was referred to refused to give me my IUD without first a consultation even though my primary already said there was no need because they did it. So I reached out to planned parenthood and they not only got me on a birth control same day but continue to meet my obgyn needs. Also the staff is very friendly and I really enjoy the fact its mostly women who provide the care. It puts me at ease. Also the lady who answered the phone today was extremely kind, professional and helpful.
PP is a great place to get educated on birth control. I’ve work with Michelle, Kia, and Rosie and they are wonderful. I get all of my my questions answered and even get feed back of what my work for me best. They have the time to listen to all of my questions and concerns. I’ve always felt supported and understood it’s a great place.
I had a very good experience here. The women are very kind and eager to help. Rosie & Michelle were the first faces I saw and they made me feel really comfortable. I was so happy they got me in, it was so kind of them, they could’ve turned me away because I was late and didn’t. The doctor was a queen, she recognized what was going on immediately. Love this clinic. This team is really empowering and I am grateful for their help!
I never have had a good experience with this PP but it’s the closest one to my house so here we are. Todays problem was I called in at 12 to set an appointment and she told me I could come in whenever they do walk ins and I said well I get off at 5 so I can’t because you guys are closed so I’d like to set an appointment for this day.. and she said oh we will do walks in then too. So I got early today and was there at 4:25 just to do my depo shot and the lady in the front said they couldn’t do it because I needed to be there an hour early if I wanted to be seen. What was the point of me calling and doing a walk in if you won’t do the walk in. Had they just done what I originally wanted I wouldn’t have wasted the gas. And the girl had a snarky tone, along with a not very welcoming face.
I had the worst experience here. The minute I walked in all the workers gave off bad energy like they wished I wasn’t there. I was getting an IUD and was on my period. They still had me give a pee sample tho. I go into the bathroom to do it and as I’m finishing up I open the door to put the sample in and there’s three other cups on it. No names. I was never told to write my name on it. I still put it there bc I knew I was pregnant. But what if I had been? The cups were totally mixed up and it was so unorganized. They take me into a room and asked me if I’ve had a Pap smear and if I’ve ever had an std. they only asked me. For all they knew I could’ve lied to them, luckily I had been tested the weekend before at an obgyn, but they didn’t have the iud that I needed so I had to go to planned parenthood. Then they take me in to the room and tell me to undress. I reminded them I was on my period (I didn’t want to be leaking everywhere) but they just said “oh it’s ok she’ll be in here soon” the nurse practitioner comes in and tells me what she’s about to do very briefly. She had a mask on so I could barely understand her. It took her 4 tries to get my iud in. 4. The cervix opener thing was in me the whole time and it was the worst pain I’ve ever felt. I kept asking her to take it out or just start over but she just didn’t respond. She finally got it in. She asks if I have any questions (that’s it) and then SHE TOLD ME WHERE THE WIPES WERE SO THAT I COULD CLEAN UP MY BLOOD. I’m not kidding u. They asked me to clean up my blood. I didn’t do it. They also never told me to take any sort of pain medication and did not make sure that I had a ride home (which is what the other obgyn place told me to do). They don’t care about you if you aren’t getting an abortion because they aren’t making money off of you.
I went here to get my iud removed because i really didn’t like how it was effecting my body. the lady who called me back was very rude. i don’t recall her name but she was a shorter brunette. when she asked why i was getting it removed and i said i didn’t like the side effects she looked at me dumb founded and said hormonal iuds don’t cause side effects. she then went on the say the weight gain i have experienced is due to something in my personal life and maybe i should watch what i eat. i have decided that i don’t want to be on birth control currently she told me it was stupid idea and i will most likely end up pregnant without BC. i’m pretty sure it’s my decision if i want to take BC or not and i do get pregnant that sounds like something i can deal with without her. i have never felt more embarrassed by a health care professional in my life. i left the orem planned parenthood almost in tears because of how i was treated. the nurse practitioner who actually took my iud out was fine she was more willing to understand why i no longer wanted an iud, but her “nurse” or whatever her job position wasn’t. i’m now very disappointed with planned parenthood as a whole and won’t be returning
Many moons ago I visited this planned parenthood as a newly engaged 18 year old! They educated me on different birth control methods, gave me a check up and taught me how to chart my cycles. It may sound silly that i didnt know about these things before hand but I truly didnt! It was such a benefit to me to get these services, I will forever be grateful to them and their kindness. Planned parenthood taught me what I should have already known as an adult woman :)
There is one person in this entire establishment who actually helped me which was a doctor who removed my IUD and educated me on what i needed to learn. On the other hand every time i’ve come here (3 times in the last 4 years) everyone looks miserable and has treated me very poorly. every time i’ve tried to call im on hold for 10 minutes and then i get sent to voicemail, the front desk people are very rude and honestly i will never come to this location again.
Kelley Cole a “nurse” here and at another location is downright rude. Judge-mental, and seemingly biased against men. Even if they’re their supporting their partner. My partner and I have never been made so uncomfortable in a professional setting within a medical environment. The lack of professionalism and general disregard to boundaries, opinions etc. she was arguing with my partner about their own body- telling them what to do!Will never return lost faith in planned parenthood as an organization which is sad because my partner used to work in the PP network.Hope this makes someone rethink who they’re employing!
Discriminatory and unprofessional staff. i came in for a free pregnancy test and immediately from the get go (i am white teenage female for reference) they were snippy and rude with me. i came in with my friend who also wanted to discuss birth control. when i went in for the appointment the lady i was with couldn’t even answer basic questions about my cycle. i could have used google for a better check up. ignored my request for pregnancy test so i requested for it again. i took it and it was negative and i had no more questions. the lady then left and said i needed to wait for another girl to ask me more questions. i waited over 30 minutes and i was confused plus the room i was in was hot and stuffy so i stepped out for a second. my friend was also waiting for the same lady for 40 minutes. we walked to the front counter to ask what else we needed to do since we had work in 30 mins we simply couldn’t be there any longer. all we got were glares. as we were asking the front desk a lady comes out of the door and yells my name saying i am not done yet in front of everyone in the waiting area being very snippy. the lady who desperately needed to ask me questions only said “ok no birth control, ok negative test, ok that’s all bye” then went to check my friend. but when she went to check my friend she told her “because you attempted to run away without paying we will have to charge you 100$ instead of $50.” hell no. we didn’t run away we went to the front to ask about what we do. we are confused teenagers. once we checked out i could only pay $5 bc i am a poor student and they said the appointment costed $56??? all for a lady to tell me she doesn’t know how to answer my questions and just for a pregnancy test that i could have gotten for $5 at walgreens to say negative. it’s absurd. what even are you paid for if you can’t answer my basic questions. my friend could only pay $5 but when she said $5 they glared at her so she said “ok $10”. after leaving we realized that we were treated so terribly. probably because they assumed just because we are white we are rich and are taking advantage of their free healthcare. it’s a scam. every single time i’ve had an appointment there the staff has been nothing but rude to me. i’m sure they scam other white people because they assume we aren’t a minority and can pay everything in full. they need a reality check. i will be going to an actual gynecologist next time who can actually answer my questions and even then that appointment would only cost $25 not $56. definitely hire new staff. discrimination is practiced here and i feel embarrassed every time i go in there just bc they assume i am privileged and can pay. even then they don’t need to be rude they are supposedly doctors but idk from them answering my questions id say google was a better doctor. id rather drive all the way to south jordan than go to this clinic instead.also side note: i heard the staff talking opening outside the door laughing about one of their patients and talking about their medical privacy as if it were just workplace drama. do better.
5/5 ! Kia is always the one i go to, she makes me feel super comfortable, well cared for and she always provides a safe space for me to communicate my needs. she always has a positive attitude and i appreciate this planned parenthood location!
One of the best medical experiences I have ever had. Everyone here is really nice and helpful! I went in for an IUD and was pretty scared. So many people (including the internet) had told me how incredibly painful they were. My practitioner was very understanding and walked me through the entire experience. I only experienced minimal pain and it was really quick (I know this is uncommon, but ive been told horror stories like a practitioner having to try 2-3 times or aggressive techniques for placement).
Helped me figure out my tricky hormone problems with my birth control. Literally a life saver they helped me so much! Staff is friendly and very educated on contraceptions. (Edit) making a appointment is the most frustrating process ever, no one answers the phone..
Great customer service. They do tell you walk ins need to come in 1 hr before closing so make sure to be there on time. The staff was welcoming and offered to set up a Pap smear for the future and let me know the importance.
My experience here was wonderful. The staff treated me well. The brunette lady at the front desk was helpful and kind. I was taken back after a pretty good wait, about 30 min. But hey, what do you expect for cheap healthcare? The cute nurse was very thurough and made me feel comfortable. She asked me all the important questions. I got my birth control for only a few dollars and was sent away happy. Thank you guys for having such a nice office where I can get the help I need. I will be back soon! Planned parenthood is awesome!
I had such a great experience here: i was expecting a long wait and some amount of judgement, not to mention expenses, but the wait was like a regular clinic, everything was confidential, the staff were so supportive and gave me all the information i needed and more. my medicaid ended up covering everything and they didn’t leave a detail out about my birth control. i am very happy with my experience here and will be coming back the next time i need anything:)
Tried unsuccessfully to schedule a visit 4 times. Nothing but a runaround. Was finally able to find somewhere else to go. Im a huge proponent of the services Planned Parenthood offers; however, this clinic gives the organization a bad name.
Super slow, an hour behind schedule. No one at the desk. They give one word answers when they finally arrive.
The wait times werent the greatest, but Im willing to wait for the type of care I receive here! I have come here multiple times over the last 4 years and have always had a good experience. They helped me get the proper birth control, without judgement, and in a cheap price range. Also, they often have appointment times as soon as you need them. I recommend my friends to come here.
I had a great experience. I went in to get the birth control implant, and I was really nervous. I had to wait for a few minutes, but the staff was very kind and addressed all of my concerns. The services they offered were at a greatly reduced price, which I really appreciated. I think that they are understaffed and underfunded, but they did a great job.
Respectful and personable staff helped me while I was here for a walk-in. Was seen not too long after I arrived, but long enough that I would schedule more time than a lunch break or something. Recommend this clinic!
You know, this may not be a Doctors Office, but Planned Parenthood has provided a clean environment that I can go to, the people are always nice and helpful, the visits are always short and I am always taken care of.I have been using the Depo shot to help prevent Pregnancy with my husband, and although it makes my body a little strange, I am fully aware of it because they took the time to explain things. They are very awesome and I am very grateful that there was a place that would take me even without having insurance at the time. It was still a reasonable amount to pay to stay Baby Free. Ha ha. I am glad they exist to help others.
Made an an appointment to meet with the clinician on a Friday. Decided to come here because my obgyn is always rescheduling appointments as she has to deliver babies. Maybe I just have bad luck. I waited about 30 minutes for my appointment, met with a nurse, and met with the clinician. Everyone was very professional and I had a good experience.
I made an appointment a week ago to be seen today. When I arrived, I was told that the appointment had been cancelled because there was no practitioner in due to some incidents. They said they called me twice to inform me, but I checked my call history and there are no missed calls from them. I took time off work to keep my appointment and theres no doctor in a doctors office? Whatever, lets make a new appointment. Next available is two weeks away. I had to take the next soonest for the clinic in South Jordan because I need my procedure done asap. After I wasted my time going into the office, I decided to call and see if there was anything that could be done to get me in this week. The girl who answered was the same girl at the front desk I had spoken with. I explained that I had an appointment for today that was cancelled, that no one had called me, and I need my IUD removed because its messing with my body chemistry. She said she would check to see if anything can be moved around and told me they were often double booked. She then hung up on me. When I called back, I got sent to an IVR that told me to call again later. Not even an option to leave a message. This is completely unprofessional behavior and I cant believe this is supposed to be a place that I am supposed to trust with my health if they dont even have the basic interpersonal intelligence to treat a patient well enough to keep an appointment that I need.
Very rude! Plus, whoever is the new PA or nurse practitioner is on a power trip and thinks she knows more than doctors. I’ll go somewhere else.
The ladys that work there always seem grumpy. The doctor visit I had for just a check up was very rough. They shove the pap smear tool in you so fast and intense that it is pretty uncomfortable.. I felt like my exam was not very thorough since they rushed through it so quickly. Any of the other workers are aloud in you room apparently without permission.. awkward when your butt naked getting looked at.In the end I got the birth control I needed on a donated plan because Im so broke so that was really nice.
Bit of a wait time even with my appointment, but once I got in they were quick and efficient. My implant was cheap, not free, so make sure to ask how much it is before you go in. I thought the staff were very friendly and the doctor and nurse doing my implant really helped ease my nerves.
The gal who took my blood pressure seemed nice. Everyone else needs some training.I waited in line (by myself, no line, just standing in front of the receptionist working on her computer) for ten minutes without being checked in until I insisted. All I needed was a gardasil vaccine. I chose PP because theyre the cheapest place to get it. It took almost two hours from entering to leaving! The gal who gave me the shot was condescending and uninformed. She said that I had contraindications that would keep me from getting the shot (after Id already been there for 90 minutes), and implied it was my fault because most people who are familiar with the shot already know this. I told her I doubted that and that Id already talked to my doctor about it. She didnt like that and got a little snippy. She went to ask someone else, and of course they approved me getting the shot. No apology when she came back into the patient room to administer the shot.Privacy is a joke. I could hear her talking with the admin out in the hall, and could plainly hear the conversation in the patient room next to mine through a vent in the wall.I was quoted $150 over the phone when I called ahead, $160 by the front desk when I got there, and charged $170 by the gal who gave me the shot.I really wanted to have a good experience here, but it was a joke. Gardasil is a three series vaccine and Ill finish it somewhere else. If you dont absolutely HAVE to go here, DONT.
This place is the best! My insurance doesn’t cover IUD’s and I needed one placed. I had just gotten out of the hospital and had tons of medical bills so I definitely wouldn’t have been able to afford it without their help. They’re so easy to work with, are kind, and have tons of info so you are aware of all of your options!
In our experience, they were very kind and helpful! Great at answering questions respectfully. As a non-patient, I was actually not allowed to enter due to COVID-19 restrictions, but my fiancee had nothing but good things to say. Going through the drive thru was not bad, and neither was the paperwork.
I just called them for a serious medical condition that they caused and after explaining to the nurse she hung up on me this place always takes forever and they were rude to me on the phone do better planned parenthood
Well the people who work there really take their sweet time. They talk a lot about random personal stuff to each other too so the wait time is rediculously long. I had to wait in line FOREVER. I finally got STD tested and said that they would call/email the results in one week. Well it has almost been a month and I still havnt heard my results. I didnt like the doctor who helped me either, she just was kinda mean. Also they dont know anything. I looked on their website and it says they do tests for scabies, and when i asked the lady at the front dest she said no, then went to the back room and asked some other employee and then came back and told me that they actually did. And when i came back a different day the doctor told me they didnt test for that. Really misinformed. This is my only experience if them. I suggest just going to a real doctor, not this buiseness.
This is my favorite Planned Parenthood location. I have been to a couple in the Salt Lake area and they never compare to the Orem location! The staff is really nice and always so patient and understanding when I have questions. They make me feel confident and 100% sure about my decisions. Thank you guys so much!
Waited on hold for 15 minutes to have a very rude girl answer the phone and not answer any of my questions. she kept telling me i had to come in to get any of my very general questions answered. i explained i just waited on hold for awhile and asked if she could ask someone else if they knew anything and she hung up on me. very poor professionalism do better.
If I could give zero stars I would, about a year ago I came in for birth control and a pelvic exam, they said my pelvic exam was normal, so what did l do? I believed them and took birth control from them that was the highest dosage, after a week of this birth control I started to feel awful and hormonal and became depressed and suicidal and while I was in the clinic was questioned by a nurse on a phone if I had depression in my family, which is doesnt run in my family nor have I ever had depression and was treated like I was the only one who had ever said this about their birth control! Then was switched to another birth control that wasnt any better, so I decided to go off of it, and my husband and i were trying to get pregnant for almost a year, so fast forward a year later to yesterday to not only find out that my uterus is tilted and planned parenthood either decided not to tell me or they just plain didnt take their time to accurately check! And also found out that I possibly have endometriosis. Im not happy with what happened I feel extremely lied to!
I had a great experience. Came in with questions and I feel the front desk girl covered all of my concerns. She was very respectful and I didnt have to wait for anything. Maybe everyone comes after work? I came on lunch on Friday.
My wife needed birth control and was turned away because she was carrying our 4 MONTH OLD BABY due to limited space because of COVID. It is June 30, 2021. Disgusting policies that make no sense at all. What is my wife supposed to do? Leave her in the car? Leave her at home alone? Whoever had the audacity to do this to my wife needs to check him/herself into a mental institution.
When you go just make sure if you have a kid with you they won’t let you in. I wish they told me that before I drove there . Had my child with me and was told they can not see me because I had her . Tried to explain I don’t have anyone to watch her but it was “policy” I was so frustrated. I’ll probably still go back because I do need their service but this should REALLY be stated when you call
Their call-center is a joke! Do they not have any receptionist because I have been on the phone for an hour on “hold” then I’ve waited for a callback. Never have gotten a call back.
Literally do not call them theyre impossible to get ahold of. Also some of the nurses and Doctors werent really nice at all. I got my implanon removed and with the tape she cut off some of my circulation and then the gauze she made so loose it fell off my arm.
I sat there for over two hours waiting to be seen. They said they have to review your prescription every year. I saw people who where in the drive through get into and leave before me! It was absolutely ridiculous.
Arrived 15 before my appointment and I was seen 40 mins after. Was left waiting to have blood collected for another good time. I would never go to that place for anything.
Emily and Sara helped me today and they were very helpful, professional, and understanding of what I wanted. So happy with my visit today! Thank you!
Worst clinic ever! I have had my appointment rescheduled 3x due to the provider not being able to make it in. Ridiculous! Schedule elsewhere!
Even with an appointment the wait was a bit long but the care was compassionate and non-judgmental. Highly recommended for sexual well being appointments!
I come here for all of my needs. I feel way more comfortable here than I do at Payson hospital 🤦 very helpful!! 💯
I have been going here for years. I don’t think I would trust any other office with my regular checkups.
They don’t answer the phone 😩😩 but when I’m actually there I like the people it’s good
I had a good experience. I went there with my sister and they treated us so nice. No judgement or anything. Highly recommend!
Phone skills. Very poor. They lock up as well before said close time. If your sign says 6. It should mean 6 not earlier.
They suckkkkk at answering the phone so making an appointment and getting a hold of them is very difficult.
The receptionist is so rude. Ive never been more disrespected in my whole life.
Made appointment, checked in early, an HOUR later had still not been seen. Will not be back.
Bit of a wait but everyone there is caring and so nice.
No parking room. Needs to expand parking lot. I blame it on poor location
They are really nice and helpful
Impossible to call and talk to someon, and no reminders for set appointments!
The staff is always so polite and helpful.
Horrible staff members
Very nice, helpful and comfortable
Its okay
Everyone was so polite and very helpful. I can see why people complain about the nurse practitioner though, but I dont think she is rude just quick and straightforward. They see so many people in one day she gotta be fast. Front desk was very resourceful and Profesional. No complaints from my visit
I loved the spectacular attention, everyone was very friendly 🤗
Very good
